Owls are very hard to find. I hope and pray we both find some owls this winter to photograph. I was told one of the best times to see them in the open is in Febuary as that is mating season for them.Dianne ... I'm so thankful you...These photos are STUNNING! I'm so thankful you shared them with me. One winter day I bundled up and went owl hunting with my camera. We had been hearing two Great Horned Owls in our trees for weeks and I just wanted to see if I could spot them. Several hours later and cold to the bone, I came home with nothing. You must have been thrilled to get all of these great shots. I love the one with the owl taking off, he's blurred, but the claws still holding on to the branch are sharp as a tack. Just beautiful.
