One Little Bird Sitting In A Tree

One little bird, sitting in a tree

Looking as  pretty as can be.

As she looks down

I wonder what you see

besides me,

perched way up in that tree?

Little is me
Even Little are my eyes
But Little are not my dreams!
Need open space to fly
Want to rule the sky!
Need a song to sing
Want to unfurl my wings!
Need to unbend on twig
Want to grin & swing.

Winter Female Goldfinch I Believe

It has been awhile since I last posted. I have had a lot going on in my daily life as we all do. I am writing this on my old, but yet fairly reliable laptop, as my computer crashed a week ago today. I am waiting for a new motherboard, which is somewhat displeasing considering my PC is only a year and a half old. My old faithful but now slow laptop, is 6 yrs. old and still going, thank goodness. :)

I am very thankful that I had all my photos back-up. :) I am also thankful that I had an extended warranty and service plan so my PC is being repaired right here in my home town, and did not have to be packaged up and sent off to never, never land. They did have to send away for the motherboard, and so it may take a week or two to get it back. I am trying to stay positive, and complaining only makes one miserable, I think! I choose to be thankful. After all , it isn’t life threatening, and I try to put things in prospective.

Now on the other hand, my mom was not well, as she had a respiratory infection and was on antibiotics, and then developed shingles. That in itself was hard to deal with, and I felt so bad for her. My mom has kidney disease and this could have caused major complications for her such as Pneumonia, which could have caused her kidneys to fail, and in the need of dialysis. Again I am very thankful that she has recovered from her respiratory infection and give God the Glory.

As far as the shingles, they are now almost gone. After being on the medication for only a day, mom called me to come over as she was having some serious side-effects from the medication. She was taken off the meds immediately, and after a couple of days she was back to normal. I prayed the Lord would heal mom of her shingles as there was nothing she could take to ease her discomfort, and He did. I give God the Glory!

We now have our house on the market, and will be having an open house tomorrow. We are hoping to sell , and be able to buy a townhouse condo. We have not looked at any condos, and will not, until we get an offer on our house. The housing market is slow right now, and there aren’t many townhouses on the market either, but I am trusting the Lord, and I pray His Will be done. He knows our hearts, and also knows what is best for us. I also love our home, but would like to be able to downsize as to put us in a better financial situation, with the way the economy is these days. But, no matter what we will continue to trust our God in the good times, and the difficulties of life. Again I am very thankful for our home, our family, and friends, each one of you, and so much more.  I appreciate your prayers.

Many of you are in my thoughts and prayers this day. It is  bright sunny, and somewhat mild here today. May God be with each one of you, and I hope it is sunny where you are today, but if not, be encouraged, the sun is on it’s way, it may just take another day. Hey, before you know it, Spring will be here. Have a great day! Hope to find you all well!

Sincerely, Dianne :)

  8. Thank goodness for backing up files! I have had a crash twice and did NOT back up my files. It was devastating. Well, live and learn, right? My own fault.
Your photo of the little yellow bird is so beautiful and so are both poems, especially yours.
VERY glad to hear your mom is recuperating and on the mend. Shingles are painful! And to think of those along with the rest of her problem, oh my goodness.
Your house will sell when the time is right and then you'll find exactly the right new home. I know you already know that. It's faith and it's always right.
Blessings and love to you, Dianne~~
    XOXOXO

  10. Hi Dianne a belated Happy Valentine to you. What a pretty little goldfinch , I often see them in my garden they have a little red bit on their heads unless that is the male not sure. Good luck with the house selling, the market is indeed slow hoping to sell next year, as it isn't moving at all here. Downside yes I agree with you on that one, There comes a time when you must do the right thing. You are in my prayers here's hoping you have a very successful time with the house selling Dianne. Hope your mum is recovering from those nasty shingles, and her health improves making her more comfortabe. Have a lovely week Hugs Sheila x:)

  14. Yes definitely a female goldfinch. I have them all over my feederss along with many other birds. As cold as it is here (not as cold as you have!!) they are eating like little piggies. I LOVE the outside, the animals and nature too.

Does your dog have a variety of sweaters to wear? Stepping in style for certain!
