Guard Your Heart

Proverbs 4:23

The Message (MSG)

23-27 Keep vigilant watch over your heart;
that’s where life starts.
Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth;
avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip.
Keep your eyes straight ahead;
ignore all sideshow distractions.
Watch your step,
and the road will stretch out smooth before you.
Look neither right nor left;
leave evil in the dust.

I was reading this and pondering it in my heart the other day. Proverbs has so much wisdom, and good advice to live by. With God’s Help and by His Spirit in me that is how I want to live my life. I am not perfect but I know The One Who Is. His name is Jesus.

I hope to find you all well. I am off work, and just taking it easy today. It has been a long, hard winter in Canada, and other parts of the Globe. I can speak for myself when I say Thank God it is almost Spring. Like I told one friend recently, “ I hope Spring doesn’t get lost on the way.”

Smile

See you in the Spring. Take care and have a Blessed Day.

Sincerely Dianne :)

  8. Had to come here while signed in to even though I did read it through facebook. Just a wonderful blog and breath taking image. Perfect photo for the words you wanted to share. It is so easy to get drawn off our path by outside chatter. Thank you for sharing this as we are often challenged and need to remember what is more important. Happy Spring to you Hugs Carrie

  12. Psssttttt....hey, you! I am SO glad to see you. I saw that you quit over a year ago and just came back. So did I but I was gone for almost 3 years and came back last week. I missed everyone so much but then found out that most quit blogging and went to Facebook. Darn, wouldn't you know it. But YOU are here and doing your wonderfully fantastic photography and poetry that I always loved so much, and Dianne, it's just great to see you again.
    I'll be back for sure to read and relish and enjoy your page, count on it :D

  13. Don't you worry about a thing. I saw a note you left to Carrie about your inner ear and wow, I know what that's like. The world won't quit spinning and neither will your stomach, so just go slow. I'm recouping from some surgeries (October and then again 2 weeks ago so not at the computer every second anyway. Just glad to be back. Since I follow you, I'll always know if you post a new entry and I won't miss it :D
    Be good, go easy, and I'll see you later :D
    Sending you hugs right back,

  14. Came back to leave you a quick note that might help you. This was told to me by another blogger and now tons of us are using this tip. You know when you leave a comment to someone that left a comment to you, but you do it on your own page, that blogger will never see it unless they think to come back and look for it. This little setting thingie fixes that and you can see all comments and reply to them in email. Not the very first comment you leave for someone, but should that person reply, then it will come to you in email and you reply from there. Man alive, it saves so much time and doesn't let you miss anything you might ordinarily miss. Go to my page and to the entry called "To Enter Blog Heaven, read THIS". It will give you everything. :D
