Jesse doesn’t know how to say cheese but he sure knows how to smile. There isn’t a day goes by that he doesn’t make me laugh and smile right back at him.

He is now 9 and a half years old. He will always be my puppy, no matter how old he is. He has me wrapped around his little paw. :)

I came across this inspiring story and thought I would share it with you. Hope you enjoy this little bit of “Food For Thought.”

Puppies For Sale

A pet store owner was tacking a sign above his door that read "Puppies for Sale." The signs have a way of attracting children. Soon a little boy appeared at the sign and asked, "How much are you gonna sell those puppies for?" The store owner replied, "Anywhere from $30-$50." The little boy reached into his pocket and pulled out some change. "I have $2.37, can I look at them?" The store owner smiled and whistled.
Out of the kennel came his dog named Lady, running down the aisle of his store followed by five little puppies. One puppy was lagging considerably behind. Immediately the little boy singled out the lagging, limping puppy. He asked "What's wrong with that little dog?"
The man explained that when the puppy was born the vet said that this puppy had a bad hip socket and would limp for the rest of his life. The little boy got really excited and said, "That's the puppy I want to buy!" The man replied "No, you don't want to buy that little dog. If you really want him, I'll give him to you."
The little boy got upset. He looked straight into the man's eyes and said "I don't want you to give him to me. He is worth every bit as much as the other dogs and I'll pay the full price. In fact I will give you $2.37 now and 50 cents every month until I have him paid for." The man countered, "You really don't want to buy this puppy son. He is never gonna be able to run, jump and play like other puppies."
The little boy reached down and rolled up his pant leg to reveal a badly twisted, crippled left leg supported by a metal brace. And the little boy looked up at the man and said, “Well , I don’t run so well myself. This puppy will need someone who understands."
The man was now biting his bottom lip. Tears welled up in his eyes....He smiled and said, "Son, I hope and pray that each and every one of these puppies will have an owner such as you."

The moral of the story is, “Everyone needs someone who understands.”

He stopped long enough to pose as he looks towards the Bay.

He is our boy and we wouldn’t trade him for a Million Dollars. He brings us so much joy. There isn’t a day goes by that he doesn’t make me laugh out loud. He is my little white shadow. I thank God for pets! What would we do without them? I know many of you can relate because you have pets of your own. I can’t imagine a world without them.

This reminds me of a cute little story about a girl and a dog. I hope it will bring a smile to your face, and a chuckle to brighten your day.

---------------

A saleswoman  passed a particular corner each day on her way to work. One day she observed a young girl trying to sell a floppy – eared puppy. After a week , the saleswoman finally said to the girl. “Honey if you really want to sell this dog, then I suggest you clean him up and make people think they are getting something big.” At noon the saleswoman had noticed that the girl had taken her advice. The puppy was groomed and sitting under a big sign. “TREEMEMMDOUS Puppy for sale $5,000.”

To her surprise, on the way home she noticed the puppy was gone. Flabbergasted, the woman sought out the girl to ask her if she really sold the puppy for 5,000.

The girl replied, “ I sure did, and I want to thank you for all your help..” The saleswoman stuttered, “How in the world did you do it?” The girl said, “It was easy. I just took two $2,500. cats in exchange!”

-----------

Two thousand years ago there was another great exchange. Jesus Christ gave His life in exchange for ours. What value did He see in us? We were His prized creation, stolen for a season by our own will , but now repurchased as His beloved possession.

For you are bought with a price therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.  1 Corinthians 6:20.

I hope to find you all well. Have a Blessed week.

Peace and Grace be with you.

  1. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joy ride.

  2. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.

  3. When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

  4. When it is in your best interest, always practice obedience.

  5. Let others know when they have invaded your territory.

  6. Take naps and always stretch before rising.

  7. Run, romp and play daily.

  8. Eat with gusto and enthusiasm.

  9. Be loyal.

  10. Never pretend to be something your not.

  11. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

  12. When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

  13. Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

  14. Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

  15. Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do.

  16. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.

  17. When you are happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

  18. No matter how often you are criticized, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout. Run right back and make friends.
