Announcing The Safe Arrival Of My Grandson

Michael 1

I am proud to announce the birth of my Grandson.

Michael arrived on August 4th, 2011,

Weighing in at 6 lbs. 1oz.

It seems that all the storks were busy elsewhere, so Michael was delivered in the most unusual way. I have to say it was my son’s idea, and I just had to capture the moment with my camera. :)

Special Delivery

This is how I found my grandson when I went to see him for the first time at their home on Sunday, with his mommy and daddy. My son was taking pictures of his new baby boy. :)

Can you imagine the fun these two and Samantha will have!

All and all , Daddy is sure proud and in “Awe” of his new baby boy and so is mommy. By the way Michael is just a few hours short of being 3 days old in this picture. They don’t keep them in the hospital very long any more. I am very thankful that he is healthy. :)

Here is my other son , holding his daughter Hope in one arm and his new Nephew in his other arm. There isn’t much difference in size. This photo was taken the day Michael was born. By the way, doesn’t  he look like a very proud Daddy and Uncle in this photo.

Congratulations Ed and Samantha. I am so very Happy and Proud of them as well as all of my family. I am grateful and thankful for my family. I am Blessed beyond measure.

Hope to find you all well and wishing you a wonderful week ahead.

Love and Care

Dianne :)

Hope Has Arrived

I want to thank each and every one of you who have kept us in your thoughts and prayers. They have all paid off and last night “Hope”, our new little granddaughter arrived. We are all so very happy and grateful that all went well.  Hope weighed in at 4 lbs. 4oz. She is in the NICU as she was born at 34 wks. and could be there for 2 or 3 wks. depending on how she progresses. She is on oxygen to keep her oxygen levels up, and they are tube feeding her at the moment, until she is stronger and able to suck. She also has fluid in her lungs and there is a procedure they use to help dry out her tiny little lungs. She has got off to a rough start but is in good hands. She is in God’s Hands.

Please keep Hope, mom and dad in your prayers. It hasn’t been easy for them, or the family. We are all so very thankful for her safe arrival, and will be so glad when she can come home to her family.
Thank you all so very much for your continued prayers.
xx's Dianne

Train Of Life

Train Tracks ... Looking Foreward

Train Of Life

Some folks ride the train of life
          Looking out the rear,
Watching miles of life roll by,
          And marking every year.
          They sit in sad remembrance,
          Of wasted days gone by,
And curse their life for what it was,
And hang their head and cry.
But I don't concern myself with that,
          I took a different vent,
I look forward to what life holds,
And not what has been spent.
So strap me to the engine,
As securely as I can be,
I want to be out on the front,
To see what I can see.
I want to feel the winds of change,
          Blowing in my face,
I want to see what life unfolds,
As I move from place to place.
I want to see what's coming up,
          Not looking at the past,
          Life's too short for yesterdays,
          It moves along too fast.
So if the ride gets bumpy,
          While you are looking back,
Go up front, and you may find,
Your life has jumped the track.
          It's all right to remember,
          That's part of history,
But up front's where it's happening,
          There's so much mystery.
          The enjoyment of living,
Is not where we have been,
          It's looking ever forward,
          To another year and ten.
          It's searching all the byways,
          Never should you refrain,
For if you want to live your life,
          You gotta drive the train.

Shadows Of Yesterdays .... Looking Back

I was riding my bike one day, and I stopped dead in my tacks,or should I say train tracks.

It was a late summer afternoon, and I had gone for a ride on the waterfront trail, and was on my way back home.

Out of the corner of my eye I looked in both directions, and this is what I saw. This is a little moment in history. I am looking forward to what lies ahead, but since I haven’t been out with my camera in awhile this is from my archives. :)

          ><><

I have had a lot going on in my life, and that of my family. I would ask that you remember my Daughter-In Law (Sandra) and my little granddaughter who as of yet hasn’t been born. They are in the hospital in a NICU, because the baby is only 33 weeks old at this time. She is expected to have a premature arrival. I would appreciate your prayers for them, and that the baby would have a safe, and healthy arrival.

The last few weeks have been very unsettling for all of us, and stressful as well.

I know they are both in God’s Hands, as we all are.

The Medical Team is hoping that the baby can stay safely in the womb until the 34th week, and then if need be they will induce her labor . This is the short version of what has been happening without going into too much detail. Please remember my son who is the daddy, and Tesa, Jenna, and Courtney who are missing mom, and looking so foreword to having another little sister to be part of their family.

          ><><

My other son and daughter-in-law are also expecting a little baby boy in August. :)

I had the pleasure of watching a 3D ultrasound, live broadcasting on my computer, yesterday. I got to watch my not yet born little grandson, in his mom’s womb. He was blowing bubbles , and was quite active. It brought me to happy tears as I watched the miracle of life before my very eyes. I only wish I could have seen the expression on my son’s and daughter-in-laws face as they watched their son. I am so very happy and excited for the both of them.

Life is good, and so very Precious!

Well there are other things going on in my life also, but this is more than enough for one day.

God Bless and be with you all. Have a good week.

          Sincerely Dianne :)

Tesa is Courtney’s oldest sister, and will be starting high school in Sept. She wants to take a photography course which they offer at her school. Makes me smile. :) I think she will take after her grandma, and Uncle Ed. I am hoping to take her out with me taking pictures more often in the near future.

These are my 3 Angels who I am so very proud of. :)

I have added Courtney’s  1st Birthday, and pictures from when she was born on Aug.3 2008 to this Post, down below . It is so hard to believe she is already 2 yrs. old , and so very hard to believe Tesa is going into grade 9.  Wow! Time sure has a way of flying by. Time stands still for no one. Each and every day is a gift, and so are these beautiful grandchildren of mine.

I am truly Blessed.

Hope to find you all well. Have a wonderful week.

Hugs and Smiles

She had a safe arrival. She was put in the nursery for observation due to high levels of sugar in her blood. Please continue to pray for her that her blood sugars will go back to a normal and healthy level and that she will be a healthy bouncing baby girl. I told her I would buy her a camera for her birthday next year and we will go clicking the wonders of her world.

Thank you for your prayers and your support. I sure do appreciate it. Mom is doing well also. I give honour and praise to My Lord for answering yours and my prayers. He does have His hand on her life.

I brought  home my 5 yr. old granddaughter Jenna for the night.  She was thrilled to see her new baby sister.

I had no idea what my next post would be. Little did I know my new granddaughter would be born 3 weeks early and thank God she arrived safely. I am so tickled pink. :) Dianne

P.S All photos taken by me ( Grandma ) with my new little Fugifilm Finepix S1000fd camera. The video on this little camera is amazing. I am glad I got it or I would not have been able to do a video.  I will not post it though. Hope you all understand.

Baby and mom doing fine

Good Morning one and all, I just got a report from my son that Courtney is doing fine and is with mom. Her blood sugars are normal and she has got a clean bill of health and mom and baby will be able to go home in the next couple of days. Truly this is an answer to your prayers and mine.  Thank God and each one of you for your prayers and support. I really appreciate it. :) Dianne

Aug.4th,2008

I got to hold my precious granddaughter for the first time today. My heart melted like butter. I will never be the same again. I held her until I had to give her up to all those waiting in line. It was then that I once again picked up my camera and couldn't stop clicking. This is only a few images that I took today. I have 3 very precious grandchildren. All girls.  Tesa, Jenna and now Courtney. I am very protective of them and my family but I just had to post this new photo album. :) Dianne

Courtney was 5lbs. 2 oz. at Birth. She is 4lbs. 13oz. today. She is so tiny and she has developed some jaundice as well but the Drs. seem to think she will be fine and that it is somewhat normal for premature babies. They sure don't keep them in the hospital very long these days.  Please remember her in your prayers , that she will start to gain some weight and not loose anymore or we wont be able to find her in her bassinet. :) Grandma ( Dianne)

DSCF0848 Courtney! wk. old

Courtney is now a week old. I stopped in to see how everyone was doing. I held my granddaughter  and this time she was awake and her beautiful blue eyes were open and she smiled and grinned at me and made all kinds of wonderful sounds. I did not get any pictures of this amazing time as I was too caught up in that special moment . She fell asleep and mom was getting her ready to go out in her stroller seen here. It is so neat as her car seat converts into a stroller. You can see how tiny she is although we think she has gained some weight and the jaundice is fading away.

A Few Snap Shots Of My Son and Daughter In-laws Wedding

As some of you know my son Ed and Daughter In-law Samantha were married on June 26th/2010. Here are a few snapshots I took with my little Fuji Camera. I was not the photographer and left my 50D at home. It just wouldn’t fit in my little handbag , and I wasn’t about to wear a back pack. :)

I did do a video of the whole ceremony and so I don’t have still photos of the ceremony itself . I left that up to the professional photographer who did a wonderful job. I just wanted to be mom and soak it all in and enjoy the day, which I did to the fullest. It was a very Special Day and one to remember. My youngest son married the love of his life and she too is very special and now is my daughter. I have too daughters now. The other one is married to my other son. Between my husband and I , we have 4 boys. I have gained 2 wonderful young women as daughters who I love as my own. :) Who knows in the next few years I may have a couple more.

I did my best to stay out of the photographers way, and here are just a few of my snapshots that I took.

This photo was taken after the Wedding Ceremony and we had all got off the boat . The professional Photographer was busy taking pictures and I was off to the side , being careful as not to get in his way. He was a wonderful photographer who clearly was enjoying what he was doing.

Today is an exception to the rule.

DSCF5597 Just before leaving on the cruise

This is the cruise boat or should I say , “The Love Boat”

The wedding ceremony was on the boat, then outside pictures in the park, then it was time to get back on the boat for a cruise around the lake, dinner and dancing. Oops I had better hurry. They are calling me and the boat is getting ready to leave.

One last thing. It poured rain as we were leaving for Port Perry for the wedding. I scooted in our van with umbrella in hand. I managed to stay dry, and kept praying on our 2 hr. drive to get there. We drove out of the rain and it was a sun and cloud day with just a prinkle of a shower while we were on the boat and no one cared because we were safe and dry from the elements. When the evening was over and we got off the boat , it was beautiful and dry. God answered our prayers and I want to thank all of you who prayed for us that day. God Bless You.  Hope you enjoyed just a glimpse of a perfect day.

Hugs and Smiles
