Mourning Dove
This Dove is waiting her turn , and looking on as others are enjoying their meal at what I like to call, “The Bird Feeder Cafe”.
I was working away a couple of weeks ago at one of my clients houses. I looked out the kitchen window, and saw this dove on the roof of their shed. I ran and got my camera, opened the door slowly, and quietly, aimed and took this photo. I took a couple more shots, and put my camera away and continued on with my work. I had brought my camera to work with me, and planned to check out her feeders when I was done for the day. By the time I got finished their wasn’t a bird in sight. I waited a little while, and it was starting to get dark so I headed home. I only got a few quick shots that day but I thought this one was a keeper.
I hope you all have a wonderful week whatever you do or don’t do.
xx’s Dianne :)
You must be living at a very peaceful and scenic place to be able to capture so much beauty of nature everywhere you look. I hope the new place you'll be moving to will be just as nice.

Hi Dianne thank you for your visit , the little Budgie has been with me for almost two years now. He is a little trooper and not so shy as he was when I first brought him here. He is always picking up new words which take me by surprise. The ring neck dove I just love and almost every day I see two close together sitting on the tree by the Pond , kissing I believe so close so cute. I do hope you find a buyer this year for your home , and find a lovely new place with lots of wildlife near by. Take care Hugs Sheilax
ReplyDeleteThe shot of the mourning dove is beautiful. I love to watch them.
ReplyDeleteI actually love the sound those birds make. I've not heard them much since it's been very cold and icy which keeps me from walking as I used. I can't say how long it's been since I've had a nice walk...I miss it so much. Wonderful picture Dianne!
ReplyDeleteLook at those coral colored feeties. I love those. And the gold splotches on their backs and wings...so pretty. I love these sweeties.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo !!!

I have set up a bird feeder at my place a liitle more than a few weeks ago.. nothing, not one bird, although its been minus -600 out here & not to many warm blooded animals have ventured around outside...
