Red Winged Black Bird Singing His Summer Song
High above me in this tree.
One little Goldfinch sitting in a tree
Looking as pretty as can be.
As He looks down
I wonder what do you see
besides me,
perched way up in that tree?

Seems He is following me, posed for another picture
I have wanted to capture one of these for a very long time. And today he flew into my path.
I prayed God would Bless me and He did.
I believe God can and does use His Creation to Bless those who’s heart is open to see and hear, not only creation, but the Creator Himself.
Queen Anne’s Lace is one of my favorite Wildflowers
Dainty and oh so Pretty is she.
I like how she stands out in her surroundings.
What a pleasant surprise as this Beautiful Butterfly
Fluttered by me and Landed long enough
for me to take this photo.
If anyone knows the name of this Butterfly please let me know.
He leads me beside still waters
He restores my soul.
Words from Psalm 23.
That is what came to mind as I looked into the pond and saw this Water Lilly, and her reflection in the still waters.
Maybe you look at this photo and see something totally different , and that is fine too.
I hope that by looking at these photos , and reading this blog, you will be Blessed .
Hope to find you all well and enjoying the seasons of life where ever you may dwell. May you see the Beauty beyond whatever circumstances you may face in this life.
May God reveal Himself to you as you seek Him, and Bless You beyond measure.
Sincerely Dianne :)

Now I know where the goldfinches go when they pass thru here.
ReplyDeleteThank you John. I don't get to see the yellow finches very often and I was very happy to see this one. I believe we have them here. I just don't come across them too often.
DeleteBeautiful words and photos. Blessings to you Dianne.

ReplyDeleteThank you Ruth. That is so nice to hear. :) I am very Blessed when I visit your blog also. Love your photos and your thoughts of the day.
DeleteG'Day Dianne, Wow, I just left a comment on your previous blog post yesterday. Did you get to read it? Please email me and let me know how you, Steve and your mum are doing. And I love to know how the grand babies are doing! Your photographs are indeed beautiful moments captured, and I'm so pleased you shared those with us. The photos are so crisp and rich with colour. You're a born natural photographer!!! Some people crop them, adjust the colours and all sorts of things (which is totally fine) but I think what makes yours stand out from the rest is your skill to use natural light producing show stopper images. Beauty as it is. I love the Red Winged Blackbird singing a song, only wish I could hear it too :) Sending love and blessing to you dear friend. With love and care from Kerrie. xoxo
ReplyDeleteKerrie, Thank you for your messages. In short we are doing okay, and will write soon. I am sorry I haven't got back to you. It is late and I need sleep. Love and Care :)
DeleteHi Dianne,
ReplyDeleteI am blessed and will be back later, to view again, when I have more time
Hugs Nita
I really do love red winged black birds and golden finches! I remember thinking they were canaries when I was a little boy and my grand father who was an avid birdwatcher would just smile at me. I still am in shock that it's August already. It cooled down a lot here but very little rain still. I can feel a touch of fall....way out there yet but still I can feel it.
ReplyDeleteI have noticed 2 pairs of Goldfinches in my garden , different to yours Dianne , they have a red patch under wing. Lots of Sparrows which love a dry mud bath. Your post fills me with joy. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHugs Sheila xx
Thamk you every one. The time is going way too fast for me. :) Hope you are enjoying your summer
ReplyDeleteLooks like God blessed you on this nature walk for sure. I love your little poem as well. Those little Goldfinches can be so fleeting and hard to get a photo of. I am glad nature is revealing so many precious moments to you. Have a wonderful week. Hugs Carrie

I love red winged blackbirds...especially the sound they make. That beautiful butterfly is a black swallowtail.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anita! :)
