Times are changing

As leaves are falling to the ground.

A Tapestry in the making

Red and yellow,

orange and bronze

A blanket covers the grass

Summer is gone

Fall will soon pass

There is a chill in the air

As the wind blows

Times are changing

We can fight it

We can grin and bare it

We can accept it

We can embrace it

or some may even run from it

No matter what we do

We can't control it

Times are changing

What will be will be

Nature will take its course

For in everything

There is a Season.

Nov.3, 2010

It seems yesterday was May and I was getting ready for my son’s wedding, and now it is Nov.  I ask myself where has the time gone? I have been so busy , and it seems I haven’t been out much with my camera this Fall. I have had a lot going on and too much on my plate it seems. I have been struggling to keep up , and catch up and never seem to get there. I am tired and weary but not giving up. I love blogging , and I love visiting your wonderful blogs also, when I can.

Before we know it. It will be Christmas and a New Year. I know that now I am ahead of myself, talking of such things. Seems I am either behind or ahead of myself these days. It seems like I need to find that Life/Work Balance. I don’t think I am alone on this one. I think we all struggle , trying to balance our lives from time to time.

Sometime after the Christmas Holidays we will be putting our house up for sale, and hope to down size maybe to a townhouse condo near a park which I love, and is close to my Beloved Water Front Trail.  I would like to ask  you to please pray for us. This too can be a very stressful and a busy time. It will take a miracle for everything to fall into place, but I know God can supply all our needs according to His riches in Glory, and His Will.

Even though I haven’t been here in the last while, so many of you have been in my thoughts and prayers. I hope and pray you are all well. God Bless each and every one of you . Have a great rest of the week.

Sincerely Dianne :)

  3. At a higher elevation, fall has almost disappeared here. Most everything is brown and barren now. The mountains have had a foot of snow and the skiers are shooshing.
I have a problem with the extra fees from living in a town home/condo. So I just got a little bungalow so I have a yard to work in.
Hope your downsizing goes well and you do not catch your tail.
    Have a good autumn.

  5. Beautiful Photo's Dianne oh the color of Autumn before the cold and freezing winds arrive to send a chill up our spines. Then there is another kind of beauty to caputure ,iced leaves on a tree and frozen ponds, with dancing lights and shapes. You live in a beautiful part of the world and I do look forward to more beauty you capture with your Lens Dianne. Good luck and many blessing for your future changes. Hugs Sheila x

  12. Only two bad things about autumn: early darkness and the couple of storms that take that last, beautiful leaves from the trees.

Praying your heart's desire is fulfilled, Di.

  14. hello Dianne, Oh the beauty of fall you saw and captured is truly wonderful. I love your words on times are changing. It feels so good when you can get something like that out. Such an expression of how you are feeling. I know so much also and trying to keep up everywhere. I keep thinking next week I will be there, only to get there and more work is there. I just can't remember so much work years before. But now with the Garden house of have more gardening that continues in there and another living area to keep clean. I think I have finally let go and not push for certain jobs when I am not ready to do them. The day comes when I say yes I feel like getting that job done today. It is becoming way to much work for my hubby and I to keep up here at the ranch. WE have property in town on the river and may one day in the future build a new home there when the day does come that we can't keep it all up here. I will pray that your dreams come true soon. Have a wonderful week my friend. Hugs Carrie

  16. Hi Dianne,
I have spent the last 20 min. reading your posts and enjoying your photos. I am trying to unwind, just got home from Illinois after helping both my mom and sister with their moves. My sister and husband are downsizing like you hope to do. My mom is moving to a smaller place in her retirement complex...downsizing for the last time at 83. I keep a prayer journal for blog friends, and I would be happy to pray for your move and all the preparations that are needed to make it happen. I look forward to seeing your photos too!

  17. You certainly have a lot going on!!! Take time to breath. By the way I adore the log cabin in the woods. Seems so isolated, a place to think. Is this your home?

  18. Jane, in answer to your question, the log cabin does not belong to me. I would love to have a log home in the woods, but am thankful I do have a home, and at the time being live in a small city. Like they say, there is no place like home. :)
Anita and all who come here, thank you for taking the time to read my post and look at my photos, and leaving your comments. Thank you for your thoughts, and prayers. Thank you, for all who have reached out your hand in friendship. I am very grateful.
    Sincerely Dianne :)

  21. Hello Dianne and thank you for posting and your comments. I leave for Belleville tomorrow, so short of time to look through your very beautiful blog right now, but will look at everything and ask you MANY question regarding how you format your blog. Mine is so blah! Looks like you have a lovely camera. Mine is a small Panasonic Lumix that fits in my pocket with only a 10x zoom. I'm hoping maybe Santa will remember my hints about a bigger camera.
Your writing style is wonderful and I love the quotations. I too believe people who love taking pictures have been given a gift to stop, and see nature in a very different way. We see things different then others that awakens us, and feel more in our hearts, that we just have to capture the image. It makes me feel closer to God in some way, just appreciating everything just a touch more maybe.
I'll write you when I get back to Vancouver, or if Kathy is going to the dinner on the 6th, tell her to bring you along so we can meet.
    More soon
    Linda
