Love was in the air on this warm Spring day

I took my camera to work a couple of weeks ago , and captured these two love birds, sitting in a tree. I had just finished for the day, and now that the days are longer I was able to have a little fun with my camera.  So on this day I was thankful for work, and play.

I haven’t been out much with my camera as I have had a lot going on with work, the house being up for sale, among other things.

I hope you are all doing well, and have a nice weekend.

These Mourning Doves aren’t white, but they reminded me of an old song.

On the Wings of a Snow White Dove
Words and music by Bob Ferguson

On the wings of a snow-white dove
He sends His pure sweet love
A sign from above
On the wings of a dove

When troubles surround us, when evils come
The body grows weak
The spirit grows numb
When these things beset us, He doesn't forget us
He sends down His love
On the wings of a dove

On the wings of a snow-white dove
He sends His pure sweet love
A sign from above
On the wings of a dove

When Noah had drifted on the flood many days
He searched for land
In various ways
Troubles, he had some but wasn't forgotten
He sent him His love
On the wings of a dove

On the wings of a snow-white dove
He sends His pure sweet love
A sign from above
On the wings of a dove .

Matt.11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[ have been called according to his purpose.

I leave you with just a few things to ponder.

May your burdens be light, and may you find rest in Him.

Love and Care

My husband and I decided to throw the cameras in the van, and go for a drive today since it was a beautiful, sunny, mild day. The temperature was around 52 degrees. We don’t have a lot of spring colors yet but most of the snow is gone.

I decided to go look for some newborns, but didn’t come across any. What I did find was these two stallions, in a field, and they were feeling sort of frisky, and playful. One is a Belgium Stallion Pony, while the other is a Palomino Stallion which has been neutered, so the owner of the horses told me, when he came out to make sure I wasn’t planning to rustle his horses. I reassured him I was only a amateur photographer out to take a few pictures.

The Palomino was the quiet one, just standing by a fence, when the young pony decided after coming up to the fence to see me, to put on a show for me so to speak. He went around the second fence and struck up a conversation with the older stallion, and next thing you know they were horsing around, and having some fun. They were not fighting each other, just having some harmless fun, and showing off for the lady with the camera, which happened to be me. Needless to say, I had fun capturing this special moment, with my camera. This is the first time I have seen two horses playing like this. It was pretty cool. I love horses, and I grew up around horses on my grandparent’s farm, but never had seen something like this accept maybe while watching horses on television, or on a movie. Today I seen real live action. It really made my day. I haven’t been out much with my camera, and today was special.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my captures of the day.

Have a wonderful week, and God Bless each and every one of you.

Love and Care,

Dianne :)

Just For Fun… Jesse and Poppa

IMG_1501 Jesse & Poppa by Dianne©dsphotocats

I got home early from work today. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, so I decided to play around in Photoshop and this is the result. I hope it puts a smile on your face, and maybe even a chuckle. Behind the cloned face is my dear sweet husband. I just borrowed a little bit of Jesse’s hair to come up with this remake of the two of them. Oh ya , I also borrowed Jesse’s nose, and a few other things.

Hope you all are having a good day.

xoxo Dianne :)

Here is the same pic only I tweaked it some more as you can see. :)

Which one do you like best?

Okay, I decided to add another picture. This is the same picture, only I removed the little bit of hair that was across the eyes. If you look closely at the two pictures you will see the difference.  Well this was fun for me. Hope you found it interesting.

There Is A Quack On The Ice

I want to settle down, build a nest, and have a family.

Why do I have cold feet?

I go through this every year.

I love that little Ducky

She’s my gal!

What is going through Drake’s mind these days?

Why are we walking on this thin ice?

Doesn’t he know how much I love him, and will follow

him anywhere. Even to the other side of the Bay, if

that is what it takes. If I have my way, we will be mates

for life. I will be glad when we can finally settle down

and build that little nest we quacked about,

and have a family.

Have you ever been on thin ice while out on a date?

I am sorry I threatened to bomb the love birds.

I don’t know what got into me.

I just want Spring to get here, so more people will come,

and bring me treats.

The little unremembered acts of kindness and love are the best parts of a person's life.

William Wordsworth

“I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.”

Mother Teresa quotes

These are a few photos I took on Saturday. This has been the first I have been out with my camera in some time. I had no idea where I was going when I started this post. Sometimes it is as much of a surprise to me as it is to you. :)

Well it is late, and I just finished this post, and need to get some sleep, as tomorrow, Lord Willing, I will wake up, and start a new week. There is much going on in our world today. Lets all try to make a difference in some small way.

I hope you all have a good week ahead. God be with you, and keep you well and safe.

Until next time.  Love and Care to all.   Dianne :)

Happy Spring!

Redwing Blackbird

Spring makes it’s own statement, so loud and clear that the gardener seems to be only one of the instruments, not the composer.

- Geoffrey B. Charlesworth

Good Morning Mr. Robin

The Robins and Red Winged Blackbirds are back.

The Swans, and Canada Geese are back too, as well as a few other song birds, all chirping away. My pair of swans, and pair of geese are already back, and claiming their territory and where they will nest in the near future. Yes, “Spring Romance” is in the air. Some may say it is for the birds! They certainly think so. :)

7:21p.m Eastern Standard Time is officially the beginning of Spring! I want to wish you all a Happy Spring. Spring is a time of new beginnings, new growth, new hope, after a long cold winter. A new season is upon us. Yes, it has finally arrived. I for one am looking forward to it, and the days ahead.

Happy Spring to all who are about to enjoy this new season of life. As I post this to my blog it is now officially here!

The Light_Sharing From My Heart

The Lord Is My Light Psa.27

A Missionary was sailing home when she was awakened by a cry – a cry which is perhaps the  most difficult to hear when at sea. “Man overboard!” She arose quickly from her berth, lit the lamp at the window of her cabin, and then held the lamp at the window of her cabin in hopes of seeing some sign of life in the murky waters outside.

Seeing nothing she hung the lamp back on its bracket, snuffed it out, and returned to her berth with prayers for the man lost at sea. In the morning, to her surprise she discovered  the man had been rescued. Not only that, but she learned it was the flash of her lamp through the porthole that showed those on deck the location of the missing man who was desperately clinging to a rope still attached to the deck. He was pulled from the cold waters just in the nick of time. Such a small deed of shining a lamp at the right time had saved a man’s life.

It isn’t the size of the deed you do that counts. God can take every deed we perform and use it for His purposes, in our lives and in the lives of others.

                ---------------------------------------

My heart has been very heavy for the people of Japan, Haiti, and so many. We must all do what we can to help our fellow man. Shining our lamps in  what ever way we can. All of us can pray. All of us can do something.

DSCF2895 John3 -16 copy

If I didn't do anything else with my life, I do want to spread His Love, and be able to encourage others in The Faith. We really do need to Love and support each other, as God's Children. We are Family! :) We do need to pray for our unsaved loved ones, and others who don't know Jesus Christ, and haven't accepted Him as Lord, and Savior.

(John 14:6), He is the Only Way, to be saved, and God help those who reject Him. (John 3:16), God is not willing that any should perish, and has made a way for all to come and be reconciled with Him. This life is temporary, but Eternity is Forever. I want to spend it with Jesus, and I want all to be saved, but I know that is not the case, according to His Word. God will not share His Glory with those who choose to worship false gods, and reject His Son. All other ground is sinking sand.
We serve a Wonderful Savior who gave His Life, so that we could be saved. I pray God will open the eyes of the spiritually blind, and that all will come to a saving knowledge of who He is. That all would hear the gospel, and come to the place of decision. We all must make that choice. God is not to be taken lightly. I am just sharing some of my thoughts, and feelings with you, this day. I have many loved ones and friends, and people I know who don't know the Lord. I pray for them, and I also pray that God would give me the courage to tell others about Jesus when He gives me the opportunity to do so, and know when to speak, and when not to speak.

We are living in troubled times. Our world is changing before our very eyes. Jesus’s disciples asked Him in Mathew chapter 24, in the Bible, What would be the sign of His coming, and the end of the age? Jesus warned them to watch out for many will come in His name, claiming to be Christ, and deceive many. He also said, there would be wars, and rumors of wars, but don’t be alarmed for such things must happen but the end is not yet. Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdoms against kingdoms. There will be famines, and earthquakes in various places. (Sound Familiar?) All these are the beginning of birth pains.

It goes on… You can read it for yourselves.  I am not a Bible scholar but I do believe the Bible is the Inspired Word of God, to all man kind.

This is what I believe. This is my conviction. God gave us all a free will to choose. All I ask is that if you don’t believe at this time, you give it some thought, and ask God to reveal Himself to you, if He is real. If you are sincere and seek Him, He will show you. Ask Him to open the eyes of your heart, and He will. If you are the least bit curious, and want to find Truth, read the Gospel of John. What have you to loose?

Sincerely, Dianne

A Walk In The Park

DSCF6117 copy 1

He stopped long enough to pose as he looks towards the Bay.

He is our boy and we wouldn’t trade him for a Million Dollars. He brings us so much joy. There isn’t a day goes by that he doesn’t make me laugh out loud. He is my little white shadow. I thank God for pets! What would we do without them? I know many of you can relate because you have pets of your own. I can’t imagine a world without them.

This reminds me of a cute little story about a girl and a dog. I hope it will bring a smile to your face, and a chuckle to brighten your day.

---------------

A saleswoman  passed a particular corner each day on her way to work. One day she observed a young girl trying to sell a floppy – eared puppy. After a week , the saleswoman finally said to the girl. “Honey if you really want to sell this dog, then I suggest you clean him up and make people think they are getting something big.” At noon the saleswoman had noticed that the girl had taken her advice. The puppy was groomed and sitting under a big sign. “TREEMEMMDOUS Puppy for sale $5,000.”

To her surprise, on the way home she noticed the puppy was gone. Flabbergasted, the woman sought out the girl to ask her if she really sold the puppy for 5,000.

The girl replied, “ I sure did, and I want to thank you for all your help..” The saleswoman stuttered, “How in the world did you do it?” The girl said, “It was easy. I just took two $2,500. cats in exchange!”

-----------

Two thousand years ago there was another great exchange. Jesus Christ gave His life in exchange for ours. What value did He see in us? We were His prized creation, stolen for a season by our own will , but now repurchased as His beloved possession.

For you are bought with a price therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.  1 Corinthians 6:20.

I hope to find you all well. Have a Blessed week.

Peace and Grace be with you.

Even Little are my eyes
But Little are not my dreams!
Need open space to fly
Want to rule the sky!
Need a song to sing
Want to unfurl my wings!
Need to unbend on twig
Want to grin & swing.

Winter Female Goldfinch I Believe

It has been awhile since I last posted. I have had a lot going on in my daily life as we all do. I am writing this on my old, but yet fairly reliable laptop, as my computer crashed a week ago today. I am waiting for a new motherboard, which is somewhat displeasing considering my PC is only a year and a half old. My old faithful but now slow laptop, is 6 yrs. old and still going, thank goodness. :)

I am very thankful that I had all my photos back-up. :) I am also thankful that I had an extended warranty and service plan so my PC is being repaired right here in my home town, and did not have to be packaged up and sent off to never, never land. They did have to send away for the motherboard, and so it may take a week or two to get it back. I am trying to stay positive, and complaining only makes one miserable, I think! I choose to be thankful. After all , it isn’t life threatening, and I try to put things in prospective.

Now on the other hand, my mom was not well, as she had a respiratory infection and was on antibiotics, and then developed shingles. That in itself was hard to deal with, and I felt so bad for her. My mom has kidney disease and this could have caused major complications for her such as Pneumonia, which could have caused her kidneys to fail, and in the need of dialysis. Again I am very thankful that she has recovered from her respiratory infection and give God the Glory.

As far as the shingles, they are now almost gone. After being on the medication for only a day, mom called me to come over as she was having some serious side-effects from the medication. She was taken off the meds immediately, and after a couple of days she was back to normal. I prayed the Lord would heal mom of her shingles as there was nothing she could take to ease her discomfort, and He did. I give God the Glory!

We now have our house on the market, and will be having an open house tomorrow. We are hoping to sell , and be able to buy a townhouse condo. We have not looked at any condos, and will not, until we get an offer on our house. The housing market is slow right now, and there aren’t many townhouses on the market either, but I am trusting the Lord, and I pray His Will be done. He knows our hearts, and also knows what is best for us. I also love our home, but would like to be able to downsize as to put us in a better financial situation, with the way the economy is these days. But, no matter what we will continue to trust our God in the good times, and the difficulties of life. Again I am very thankful for our home, our family, and friends, each one of you, and so much more.  I appreciate your prayers.

Many of you are in my thoughts and prayers this day. It is  bright sunny, and somewhat mild here today. May God be with each one of you, and I hope it is sunny where you are today, but if not, be encouraged, the sun is on it’s way, it may just take another day. Hey, before you know it, Spring will be here. Have a great day! Hope to find you all well!

Sincerely, Dianne :)

Red-Tailed Hawk

Red-Tailed Hawk Coming In For The Landing

IMG_1982_Red-Tailed Hawk_crop

I  cropped this photo from the original photo above, so you could get a better look.

My husband and I decided to pack up the cameras and take a Saturday afternoon drive. The sky was sunny and blue when we left , but wouldn’t you know it, as we headed out of town the sky  became grey, and it started to snow, and the sun disappeared behind the blanket of grey. We decided to change our direction and headed down an old country road that we haven’t been on before. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw a rather large bird perched in a tree in the distance. I parked the van on the side of the road , and grabbed my camera which had a 55 -  250mm lens, and walked toward the bird in the distance, tromping through the deep snow. As I tried to get close enough to take a decent photo, it flew away to another tree in the distance , and so I quickly took this photo. I never did get closer and it soon flew away out of sight. I was very thankful to get to see this bird, which at that time I had no idea what it was, until I got home and looked it up in my book. I believe it to be a Red-Tailed Hawk. If I am wrong please correct me. But it does look identical to what I saw in my bird book.

Wouldn’t you know it! As we headed back towards home it was sunny with blue sky. It was a balmy – 6c degrees out. But you know I am happy because I got to see this beautiful hawk in flight, and hear it sheik as if telling me to go away, I am camera shy. I am camera shy too, but I don’t sheik. :)  This was a first for me. I have never seen a Red –Tailed Hawk up until this day. Rest assure, I will be taking that road less travelled again, Lord willing.

I hope you all are having a wonderful day.

I would like to give this Stylish Blogger Award to each and everyone of you, so please forgive me for not following the rules and picking only 15 wonderful bloggers.

Okay! It is already past my bedtime so here goes. I will share a few things about myself.

I was a nurse for 23 yrs. of my life. When I got laid off due to healthcare cuts back in 1997, I was off work for a year , and it felt soooo good! I was able to collect my unemployment insurance that I had paid into for years. That is when I bought an SLR Film Camera, and started getting interested in photography as a hobby. I am self learned by reading books , and taking alot of bad photos, and learned from some of my mistakes, and still learning.  :)

I  started my own cleaning business in 1998, and I am the business.

I was on my own for 9 yrs. with my 2 boys, after my divorce, and then met the Sweetest Man who I married in 1995. He does everything possible to make my life easier. We bring out the best in each other, and I am truly Blessed beyond measure. He was an answer to my prayers. Between the two of us, we have 4 grown boys , who are now wonderful young men. Two of them are now married. I have 3 wonderful granddaughters, and two more grandbabies on the way. Both mom’s are due this summer.

I now use a SLR Digital Camera and have for about the last 6 yrs. and still learning, and enjoying , and in “Awe” of the Beauty of God’s Creation. I also love seeing what others see and capture through their lenses. I enjoy the gifts, and talents of others such as yourselves, whether it be photography, writing, crafts, cooking ,woodworking, painting, the gift of gab, blogging and so much more. You all are Special, and Unique in your own way.  Thanks for all you share.

Well I had better get some sleep. Six o’clock comes early. I have a full day tomorrow, and won’t get home until six o’clock in the evening. Then, Thank God it is the weekend! Hope you all have a good Friday, and a wonderful weekend.

Hugs, and Smiles

Dianne :)
